In year 1, I had an elective where we learnt tips & tricks of strategizing and attracting audiences, and using these skills, create an online persona of any genre we enjoyed.

I strongly believe that social media should be about building an authentic and inclusive community, hence creating the persona of being a big sister, where my targeted audience would be 15 to 25-year-olds, educating them about self-improvement, where one way was through food choices.

The biggest issue I faced during the planning stage was having a strong concept that made me stand out from the masses on social media, while keeping my identity as a big sister. Another issue would be thinking about the concepts for the content I would be creating, and how the food choices I made still relate to the persona I was trying to be on social media.

With the help of my lecturers, I was able to overcome the issues and create content that set me apart from what is already online, while maintaining the integrity of my persona.
