As graduating students, we were tasked to create a personal brand based on a product or a service, inclusive of an integrated marketing communication (IMC), pitch deck, product and packaging.
Bloom is a mock-up skincare brand created for Singaporeans, by a Singaporean, to make skincare feel more approachable and accessible for everyday consumers. Designed for hot and humid climates, the brand focuses on simple, beginner-friendly products that can easily fit into daily routines without disrupting one’s lifestyle. Through Bloom, I wanted to create a brand that feels personal, comforting, and relatable to the local market.
Doing this project allowed me to explore different aspects of the creative process and reflect deeply on my values. I enjoyed expressing parts of my personality and creative approach, and turning them into a meaningful product and visuals that feel personal yet cohesive.
One struggle I had was sourcing bottles and packaging that matched my vision, as the materials I wanted were difficult to find within the limited timeframe of the project, while I was also juggling with Vans' industry collaboration, creating a demanding time management situation. Through this process, I learned the importance of sourcing materials early and finding alternatives that do not compromise too much with my creative direction and brand identity.
